will I make regular post to this blog............
Since I last did a post we have moved
we packed up our house in Summerland and moved to New Zealand.
Great to be home again and back in New Zealand close to my family.
It really felt as if my soul had come home. Its good to be back on New Zealand soil again.
We lived with my Dad for a few months till we bought a house.

its a little house, don't know how we managed to get all our stuff in but we did.
Before we found the house we got a dog........his mane is Gilbert and he is a Jack Russel. This was taken the day we brought him home at 8 weeks...............
this is him at 17 months...............

play dough for the kids
it will look like a "globby" mess. you will be sure that it is not turning out....but it will. when it forms a ball in the center of the pot, turn out and knead on a lightly floured surface. Store in and air tight container or plastic bag. this is edible but not tasty.

Dinner with pictures
I could not think what to have for dinner, so I came up with this.
stir fry veggies with balsamic vinegar.
would you like to know how to make these dishes?
Pork Tenderloin with sticky sauce.
1 pork tenderloin.
about 1 inch of fresh ginger root, grated
1/4 cup Light soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1Tbsp oil
1 jalapeno seeded and diced.
1/4 cup of brown sugar.
to flour meat you will need.
about 1/2 cup flour season with salt and pepper
extra oil to brown meat in
what to do
slice the pork tenderloin on the diagonal about 1/2 inch thick, flatten with the heal of your hand.
heat a little oil in the pan while you flour the meat. add slices of meat to pan a few at a time and brown well on each side,
lay in an oven safe dish, the pieces can over lap a bit that is fine.
while the meat is browning combine the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, water, oil, jalapeno. Pre, heat oven to 300 F, when all the meat is in the pan pour over the sauce mixture, bake in the oven for 10 min. turn meat and continue to bake for 10 more min. turn meat again, juice should be thick and sticky, if not bake a few more min.
Stir Fry Veggies you will need.
1/2 green pepper
1/2 zucchini
10 sugar snap peas
pineapple chunks
1 Tbsp oil
3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp sugar.
what to do
stir fry the zucchini in oil for a few min. till just starting to get tender, add other veggies stir fry for 1 min. Add vinegar and sugar and cook till liquid has thickened and coats the veggies.
and to round off the meal we had this:
Its been a year
don't you think?
so hear goes.........
